Who is the best player in the world currently?

A question again rose by every football fan in the world to know the very best the planet possesses. Being the best does not have any real existence and can not be defined anyhow. Only thing I can do is give my opinions on this topic so, here is what I think. I believe that Mohamed Salah is the current best performer in the season but still, you can not declare anyone the best player in the world without knowing their consistency. It is very recently that he has started performing so well and started scoring a number of goals. It will be really difficult for him to break the Messi - Ronaldo era since it has been going on for 10 years and no-one has been successful to do the job but them. Since, the UEFA Champions League Final is close now, Salah still has a good chance because of the very high rate of Liverpool being in the finals and a good rate of winning the trophy. If is was any other year, he would have been the most likely winner of the trophy but again, since it is the World Cup this year and Egypt is not in a very good rank, it will be almost impossible for him to win FIFA and make his place for the Ballon d'Or winner. But again, it all begins somewhere. Who know? He may get 2nd or 3rd place for the Golden Ball which will make it a better chance for him the next year.

Originally, only European players were in contention for the Ballon d'Or: in 1995 the award was expanded to include all players at European clubs and in 2007 to all players from around the world. All of us are witnesses of Cristiano Ronaldo winning the Ballon d'Or the previous year getting him to a draw with Lionel Messi possessing five Ballon d'...
