Who is going to win the FIFA World Cup 2018?

The FIFA World Cup, often simply called the World Cup, is an international association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the sport's global governing body. The championship has been awarded every four years since the inaugural tournament in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946 when it was not held because of the Second World War. The current champion is Germany, which won its fourth title at the 2014 tournament in Brazil.

We are advancing closer to the next World Cup which is going to be held in Russia from 14th of June, 2018 to 15th of July, 2018 and so, the world is wondering that who is most likely to win the upcoming war for the title of 'Champions' in the next war. Personally, I have always been a fan of the foxy ginga style of football possessed by the Brazil National Football team and of the barricading defence by Spain National Football Team consisting of Gerrard Pique, Sergio Ramos, Jordi Alba and Dani Carvajal. Statistics recommend Germany to be the most likely winner of the World Cup again this year but, according to me Spain is going to be the one sneaking away with the trophy because of their excellent line-up. Many references predict France also to be one of the major competitors of the trophy because of their strong attack mainly because of Antoine Griezmann who has been an undoubtedly outstanding performer in the past time and has always tried his best to take his team, weather France or Athletico Madrid to the very finals of all tournaments. Even after the tragedy after the Copa America, Argentina is back however not with a very good performance in the qualifiers but still a hope by the fans which can be carried out to be true by Lionel Messi.

If Germany wins the World Cup this year too, they will come at shoulder with Brazil for the race of the most World Cups since the beginning.

No one can say for sure that who is going to be the winner but, I would just like to conclude by saying, may the best team win.

Conceived by sports writer Gabriel Hanot , the Ballon d'Or award honours the male player deemed to have performed the best over the previous year, based on voting by football journalists.
