Ballon d'Or: Do Messi and Ronaldo need to be given more?

The Ballon d'Or, is an annual football award presented by France Football. It has been awarded since 1956, although between 2010 and 2015, an agreement was made with FIFA and the award was temporarily merged with the FIFA World Player of the Year, and known as the FIFA Ballon d'Or, but the partnership was ended in 2016 and the award been reversed back to Ballon d'Or while FIFA also renamed its traditional award. Conceived by sports writer Gabriel Hanot, the Ballon d'Or award honours the male player deemed to have performed the best over the previous year, based on voting by football journalists. Originally, only European players were in contention for the Ballon d'Or: in 1995 the award was expanded to include all players at European clubs and in 2007 to all players from around the world.

All of us are witnesses of Cristiano Ronaldo winning the Ballon d'Or the previous year getting him to a draw with Lionel Messi possessing five Ballon d'Ors each. Past 10 years, it has only been these two to receive Ballon d'Ors which is no longer a topic to be surprised at. Since the Messi - Ronaldo era is soon going to come to an end, people are wondering that do they still deserve these trophies? If yes, then for how much longer? Talking about this, people often try to justify their point by saying that they have already got enough Ballon d'Ors and it is time to give the better youth the chance. Opposing this the other side says that if the others were really worthy enough, they would have overthrown them already.

This topic in turn has infinite number of arguments with both the sides being partially right. It is true that only if the other competitors were worthy enough, they would've been selected by the journalists for the honour but the fact is that they are not and that is the reason why they are not there. The other side also is right for the fact that it has already been enough time for them and new talents need motivation which is being discouraged due to the loop. The only crime they did to not deserve the award is being born at the wrong time which is something that no one can deal with.

Concluding this, I would say that there is no end to this topic and the supporters of both the sides are correct. What will happen will be seen in the next award ceremony which is going to be a much bigger one because of the World Cup going to be held in Russia this year. With new players coming up like Mohamed Salah, Paul Pogba, Paulo Dybala, Antoine Griezmann and others, anything can be possible the next time.

See you soon again and please tell me in the comments which side do you belong to and what else do you want me to write about.

What to do if I want to become a better football player?

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been posting for a while but, I'm back with something else you might wanna know. A lot of people out there want to become better at soccer but face problems like unaffordability, lack of transport and a lot others. They want to know the best way to become better at football in all ways and techniques. The first thing anyone would say is, practicing is the best way you can become better. Play more and more and more so that you gain experience and come to know what you need to work on. Secondly, if you are really serious about getting progress then avoid eating junk food. When I say junk food, I mean anything that contains sauces, anything with a lot of spices and especially anything that comes in packed packets or containers. Anything that is packed has to be treated in order to conserve it for a longer time, therefore, preservatives are used to do so which can harm your systems to a great extent. Third and the last, watch YouTube videos and matches...
